Overview
MaktabEase is a mobile application and platform for maktabs and Islamic learning centres to manage students, classes, attendance, fees, communication, reports, and related educational operations.
This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, how it is used, and how users can request support or deletion of their data.
Information We Collect
Depending on your role and your maktab's setup, MaktabEase may collect or process:
- Name, phone number, role, and account details
- Maktab membership and permissions
- Student profile details such as class, roll number, parent contact details, school details, and optional medical fields
- Attendance, syllabus, exam, akhlaqi, badge, and progress records
- Fee dues, payment history, refund records, and donation records where enabled
- Uploaded files, CSV files, images, or documents used for data import
- Camera, microphone, and speech input data when you use meetings, document capture, or speech-to-text features
- Notification tokens used to send app notifications
- App activity needed for audit logs, security, and maktab administration
We do not intentionally collect full card numbers or banking credentials. Online payment details are handled by payment providers such as Razorpay where enabled.

- Verify user access to a maktab
- Show role-based dashboards and records
- Manage attendance, fees, classes, reports, and communication
- Help maktab administrators operate their institution
- Process payments, refunds, or donations where enabled
- Send important notifications
- Improve reliability, security, and support
- Maintain audit records required for operational integrity
Data Sharing
We do not sell user data.
We may share or process data through service providers needed to operate the app, including:
- Supabase for authentication, database, file storage, and backend functions
- Razorpay for payments and refunds where enabled
- Expo and Google services for notifications and app infrastructure
- Meeting or speech services where a user chooses to use those features
Each maktab controls access to its own users and records. Users should only see information permitted for their role and maktab.
Data Security
We use technical safeguards such as authenticated access, role-based permissions, maktab-level data scoping, and encrypted network connections. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we work to protect user data and limit access to authorized users.
Data Retention
Maktab records may be retained as required for educational, financial, audit, and operational purposes. Some records, such as payment history or attendance logs, may be retained even after a user leaves a maktab, unless deletion is legally and operationally appropriate.
User Choices And Deletion Requests
Users may request correction, export, or deletion of their personal information by contacting the maktab administrator or MaktabEase support.

Some data may not be deleted immediately if it is required for legal, financial, safety, audit, or maktab administration reasons.
Children's Privacy
MaktabEase may process student information entered by maktabs, parents, or authorized staff. Student data is used only for educational and maktab management purposes. Parents or guardians should contact their maktab administrator for access, correction, or deletion requests related to a child.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated policy will be posted at this page with a revised effective date.
